WORDS MATTER

Healthy communication and social emotional learning assembly

THE NEW NORMAL...

DEMEANING, DISMANTLING, AND PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE WORDS ARE THE WAYS STUDENTS CHOOSE TO COMMUNICATE.

When students communicate in healthy ways, they are better able to express their thoughts and feelings, work collaboratively with others, and build positive relationships with their peers and adults.

INTRODUCING

THE WORDS MATTER ASSEMBLY

The Words Matter Assembly challenges and encourages students to become individuals who choose words that breathe life into their world with their words. Students will participate through laughter, real life illustrations and practical social emotional learning skills

THE LEARNING OUTCOMES...

  • Improved mental health
  • Improved academic performance
  • Reduced conflicts and bullying

Healthy communication helps students develop coping skills, express themselves well, and treat others with respect.

JASON RAITZ

TESTIMONIAL...

"Jason takes an age-old message of kindness and breathes life, humor and relevance into it. My students loved it! It's hard to find a speaker who can deliver a message to 6th, 7th and 8th graders, and have it speak to all of them. We have had discussions all throughout the building, since his presentation. He leaves us with a lot to think about as a school. If you are looking to build a kinder culture, start with Jason."
